Buenos Aires

The first and the most famous place in Argentina is a capital city, Buenos Aires. It is a multinational city, each nationality has brought various traditions and customs that mixed together and formed an incredible Buenos Aires. Due to its fabulous architecture of XIX century, the city is usually called a second Paris. Besides the architecture Buenos-Aires has wonderful culture that is greatly shown in countless theaters and museums of the city.

One thing not to be forgotten in Buenos Aires is tango. Professional dancers perform not necessarily in dance-halls, they can be seen everywhere: in clubs, bars and even on the streets.

Argentina cannot be completed without its breathtaking nature. Argentina has all types of climate in each part of the country. There are more than 30 national parks in Argentina and every single is totally worth seeing. The most popular is probably Iguassu waterfall. Not everybody knows that this waterfall is larger than Victoria and higher than Niagara Falls. Its flora and fauna is absolutely stunning, much of which has not been even studied yet. Argentina has the most southern city in the world. It is called Ushuaia. It is situated in the “Islas de Fuego” which is translated as “Fire island”. Even though, it has a very hot name it is a rather cold place with severe climate — no good beaches here. One of the most deserted places in Argentina has breathtaking landscapes of pure nature. Its animal world cannot leave anyone unimpressed. Penguins, sea lions and more than 100 bird species leave in a harmony with one of the last existing Indian tribes. Another cultural place is situated on the other side of Argentina. It is called Salta which is a beautiful place that lies on the 1190 meters above the sea level. It is known as a cultural, architectural and natural resort center. The main attraction of Salta is a train trip “The train in the sky”. An old fashioned train goes almost to the sky, to the 4 200 meters above the sea level. The train passes through the 29 iron bridges, 21 tunnel and 13 viaducts. Apart from bridges you will marvel though the most beautiful natural resorts that include mountains, caves and beautiful Argentinean landscapes.

The last place on the list is a youth city La-Plata. This city was established in 1882 which makes it one of the youngest cities in the country. La-Plata has third largest university in Argentina – Universidad de La-Plata. It has more than 80 000 local and foreign students who form a great party center. Every weekend the banks of the river La-Plata are filled with young people who play guitars, sing songs and enjoy wild nightlife.
