How to get to Chile
Since early 2017, and for the first time ever, British Airways have supplied direct flights to Santiago from London Heathrow. As the furthest South American country from the UK, the epic flight take around 14-15 hours, but we think it’s definitely worth it.
What’s the weather like in Chile?
As the longest country in the world – 2,500 miles from north to south – Chile’s contrasting landscapes offer a huge variety of climates. As a rule, and like most landscapes of this nature, the weather is generally temperate towards the coast and colder in the mountains.

Do I need a Visa?
As a British passport holder planning to stay for less than 90 days, you do not need a visa to visit Chile. If you’re thinking about staying longer than 90 days, you should speak with the Chilean Embassy, which is based in Westminster, London. If you decide to stay longer than 980 days whilst in Chile, you’ll need to visit the Chile’s Immigration Department.
How to get to Easter Island
Although part of Chile, Easter Island is located 2,000 miles of its west coast. And with no harbours, the only way of getting there is by one of the daily flights from Santiago via LATAM Airlines.
